    Jenn Bennett

    Jenn is a qualified trainer and assessor and was heavily involved in the successful process of the academy becoming a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). Jenn is instrumental in developing programs for our clients, including the Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services, and ensures that our RTO meets compliance requirements in relation to course development, delivery and accountability. As a qualified trainer and assessor, Jenn is also involved in the delivery of training to a variety of industry participants,

    MEL PERRY

     Senior Trainer

    Mel Perry

    Mel joined Hanrob in 2013 as Hanrob Heathcote’s Senior Trainer having previously worked for the NSW Police Dog Unit. Mel has been involved in the animal industry since 2006 and has a real passion for helping clients with their ‘difficult’ dogs. Companion and working dog trainer, veterinary nurse and mammalian zookeeper are just some of the roles she has enjoyed throughout the industry. Mel has a love for German Shepherds – Asira is her working line shepherd and her pride and joy.

    ACHIEVEMENTS
    • Developing individualised training; based on specific problem behaviour and/or behavioural problems including phobias.
    • Developing and training complex and advanced skills for dogs; competition obedience, trick training, tracking, bite work, scent detection etc.
    • Breeding, nurturing and training puppies and dogs for the NSW Police Dog Unit.
    • Volunteer care and training for foster and newly adopted dogs through canine rescue organisations and council pounds.
    • Developing and presenting educational lectures, shows and ‘meet and greets’ to the public, for the dingoes at Symbio Wildlife Park.
