    Christmas is one of our busiest times of year, with many pet owners choosing to take advantage of the long summer break and warm weather and head off on holidays. Of course, Christmas can also be a stressful time of year, with so much to organise ahead of time - that's why we aim to take the stress out of your Christmas break, providing you with professional pet services you can rely on.

    To ensure we can accommodate your pet over Christmas, it's important you plan ahead and reserve your pet's accommodation or training as soon as you know your travel plans.     During our peak season, we restrict the packages available to choose from, to ensure all the pets staying with us receive our full attention – as always, your pets are our priority during this busy time. This Christmas, you will be able to choose from the following options for your pet. Don't forget, all packages come complete with optional pick up and drop off from your local vet, two nutritious daily meals, exclusive care from our team of highly trained pet welfare professionals, accommodation in our purpose built pet hotels and our pet health cover guarantee.

    Classic Cat Boarding - from $30 per day
    Designed to keep your cat safe and secure while you're away, our classic cat accommodation offers plenty of space for your cat to stretch, with quiet areas for when they just want to sleep, and daily play time with our staff.     Social Dog Boarding - for socially active dogs - from $53 per day
    Our most popular daily package for dogs, this package incorporates a minimum two hours' outdoor, social play time in our grassy off leash areas, allowing plenty of time for your dog to exercise and socialise with other doggy play mates.     Royal Pet Boarding- for cats and dogs due a treat - from $99.50 per day
    Is your pet due a treat? Then don't look past our Luxury Suites. We'll roll out the red carpet for your pet, who will enjoy the ultimate in indulgent retreats, with luxury accommodation designed to reflect their home environment.     Studious Dog Boarding - for dogs who love to learn new tricks! - from $75 per day
    Dog Training is an essential part of our responsibility as dog owners, but some of us don't have the time we need to commit to training. Our Studious Dog Boarding includes daily one-on-one training lessons with our qualified and experienced dog trainers. Please note, we also offer our 18-day Training For Life dog training course, and a 10-day Short Stay Training package over Christmas.     We are already taking bookings for Christmas Pet Boarding across our six locations. To reserve your pet's accommodation, contact us today on 1300 426 762, or complete the form below and a member of our team will be in touch to confirm your Christmas reservation. Please note, online booking is not available for stays between December 22 and January 3.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

     

    • Our peak season runs from December 22 to January 8. During this time there is a 10 day minimum booking period, although you are able to drop off and pick up your pet within the 10 day period. 
    • Over Christmas, we restrict the packages available to choose from, to ensure all the pets staying with us receive our full attention – as always, your pets are our priority during this busy time. 
    • Bookings for Christmas, made before November 29, require a minimum $200 or 30% deposit. This is refundable during a 24 hour cooling-off period, but non-refundable 24 hours after booking.
    • Balance of payments for Christmas bookings will be taken on November 29 2018.
    • Bookings for Christmas made after November 29 will require payment in full and are non-refundable.
    • Our receptions will be closed on December 25th, 26th and January 1st.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED questions

    Why can I only book a package during this time?
    With so many pet owners choosing to travel, Christmas is our busiest time of the year, and our facilities are typically full during late December and early January. As always, the welfare and happiness of the pets staying with us is our first priority and we need to ensure we can deliver a service that safeguards this. During Christmas, we offer a restricted selection of packages to ensure we can deliver a high quality service to each of the pets staying with us.

    If you're so busy, will my pet still receive enough play time and exercise?
    Whilst we are at full capacity, we are also fully staffed during this peak period. Because we only offer a limited number of packages, we are able to ensure each pet receives enough interaction with other pets and staff during their holiday at Hanrob.

    How much play time will my pet receive in the package?
    Most dogs staying with us will receive on average two hours play time in our secure, outdoor, grassy play areas, providing them with enough time to exercise and socialise with other dogs. For certain breeds, we are unable to offer social play time. These breeds will instead receive solo daily play time during their holiday. Our feline residents also receive daily play time and interaction with our staff during their stay.

    Can I still book a Staying Connected package for my pet's stay?
    During peak periods we are only able to provide Pet Pics n Play. We are unable to offer pet videos and video calls over Christmas. You are able to contact us to enquire how your pet is getting on and we will contact you immediately should we have any concerns. For pets enjoying a Royal Pet Package, you will receive a postcard of their stay to your home address.

    My Pet is arriving by pet shuttle, how do I know they arrived OK?
    Regardless of how your pet arrives, you will receive an email from us when they have settled in. Because you're travelling, we send this communication by email rather than SMS to ensure you receive it. We usually send these the day after your pet has arrived.

    What are your open hours over Christmas?
    All our Hotels are fully staffed throughout the Christmas season. However, each year, we close our receptions to arrivals and departures on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. On these days, our telephone message bank is checked, but only urgent enquiries will be responded to and pet updates will not be provided. We would also like to remind you that during this time - as with any other time of the year - we will be in touch with you immediately should there be any concern about your pet.

    On all other days, our reception and call centre will operate as per normal working hours.

    Is Doggy Daycare open over Christmas?
    Doggy Daycare is closed between December 20th 2018 and January 3rd 2019. Doggy Daycare reopens on January 4th.

    I'm going away on the 19th December, do I still need to pay for 10 days?
    Yes. If your stay coincides with the period between December 20 and January 8, there is a 10 day minimum booking period. You can, however, choose to pick your pet up prior to 10 days during open hours.

    How do I contact you over the Christmas Period?

Please note that on December 25, 26 and January 1, you will be able to leave a message and only the most urgent calls will be returned.

    Who's looking after my pet if you're closed for three days over Christmas?
    Our Pet Hotels are fully staffed across the Christmas season. Our reservations centre and reception areas, however, are closed on December 25, 26 and January 1 so we can concentrate on looking after the pets who are staying with us.

    Will you contact me if you have any concerns with my pet? Even on Christmas day?
    Yes, absolutely. Your pet's welfare is our number one priority and, just as at any time of year, we will endeavour to contact you immediately should we have any concerns with your pet's welfare.

    Can I request a pet update over Christmas?
    So that we can focus on the welfare of each of the pets staying with us across our busiest season, pet updates will only be sent to customers who have purchased a Pet Pics n Play' package between December 20 and January 3rd and we will not be providing any pet updates on December 25, 26 and January 1. Should you contact us on those days, your update will be received when our receptions reopen. Rest assured that should we need to contact you about your pet on those days, we will do so immediately.
